Hi! I'm Debbie Dodt, the Illinois State Advocate. I live in a log home in the woods near Kankakee, IL. I believe I have the most impact in spreading the Leave No Trace message by teaching children and training those adults who work with children. As the Illinois State Advocate my priorities are to:
WHEN: 8:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12 through noon on Sunday, November 13, 2011
WHO: For any adult or teen interested in learning how to teach others about the principles of Leave No Trace
WHERE: Camp Pokanoka, Ottawa, Illinois
COST: $75 per person which will include meals and lodging for the weekend as well as all training materials including a copy of the book Soft Paths.
DESCRIPTION: You will spend the weekend in a cabin in a beautiful wooded camp learning how to teach and apply the Leave No Trace principles in a variety of settings. At the completion of the weekend course you will be a Leave No Trace Trainer qualified to conduct workshops, information booths and to incorporate Leave No Trace into your work and recreational pursuits.
Master Educators Debbie Dodt and Lis Christensson will be your trainers for the weekend.
